They say that “the earth without art is just eh”. In my book, while I love art, I’d say life without a good drink would be just meh. Wynwood is certainly known for its art, but its drinking scene is one to call attention to. Having been down last weekend, I made my rounds through the area.
Concrete Beach Brewing Company
Concrete Beach Brewery is the place you go to meet friends for a casual drink after work or kick it before hitting the back room bar at El Coyo. As you walk in, you feel the industrial chic vibe with a circular, central bar that you can sit at inside peering into the brewery or outside on the patio tables playing board games.
Don’t miss out on the Havana Lager. This beer, which pours with a beautiful sunburst- orange, is perfect to enjoy while the sun sets over Miami. is the quintessential lager to enjoy while watching the sun set over Miami.
Gkb draws on Asian and Peruvian influences led by Chef Rafael Perez. Not only is it known for its cuisine, but its fabulous bar program. A recently installed beautiful royal blue bar greets you as you walk into the restaurant. The bartenders know their stuff and the drinks are phenomenal. If you’re a gin drinker, don’t miss out on Sir Winston’s Revenge- bulldog gin – aperol – yuzu – flamed orange zest.
The Butcher Shop
Father and son Igor and Fred Niznik have combined a butcher shop, restaurant and German-style beer garden, where you have a variety of beers but can also drink a great cocktail.
