La Quercia Farm to Post

I can’t believe it’s been over a month since I was recently invited and attended the kick-off dinner for the La Quercia Cured Meats at Post 390.

Everything about the night was just lovely, from drinks & apps, to speaking with the Eckhouses on founding La Quercia. It was a unique opportunity to have them dine with us, flying in from Iowa, as they got to see how Post 390 used their product, and in turn we got to hear first hand about what drives them to do what they do.

 || gin, meyer lemon simple syrup, muddled rosemary, lime juice ||

Sea Scallop Rumaki

|| pancetta americana, duck liver mousse, endive, quince vinaigrette ||

Stew of Lobster, Ham Hock, Sweet Potato

|| white beans, basil pistou, coppa ||

Pasta Alla Gricia

|| guanciale ||

Rock Cornish Chicken

|| meyer lemon-peppercorn brined, fig puree, grilled california asparagus, prosciutto americano ||

Roasted Pineapple

|| black pepper icecream, pineapple curd, brown sugar-pancetta crumble ||

You will find some of the dishes in the Farm to Post menu and variations of other dishes on the main menu. It was evident that they were committed to exceptional quality and partnered with producers who value their products the same way they do. Be sure to try the seasonal menu, as their Farm to Post incorporations change bi-monthly. I can’t wait to see what’s next!

 The dinner was complimentary, but all opinions are my own.
